Happy, happy, happy Thanksgiving, TGFErs! I have so much to be thankful for this year, it’s almost hard to comprehend. My last few posts have focused mostly on what struggles I’ve been dealing with, as I fight to find a job in this difficult market and question my journey, so I’m thankful this holiday has arrived just in time for me to think of all I have to be thankful for instead.
If you’re an avid reader of this blog (yes, avid readers of this blog exist. It shocks me, too. Anyways…), you know that I had the pinch-me-I’m-dreaming opportunity to snorkel through the Great Barrier Reef. If you also have a Twitter (<—- follow yo girl), you know that this article stating the Great Barrier Reef died went viral this week. There’s a lot of controversy to this story, though, so I put my Kim K level detective skills to work below:
100 posts – What a milestone!! It’s weird to think that I’ve been writing, coding and snapping pictures for The Girl From Everywhere for almost two years now. I started this blog as a class project at uni and never imagined how much I would enjoy the creative process of constructing blog posts. In case you didn’t know, Melbourne was just named the “Most Livable City” in the world…for the 5th year in a row. That’s a fairly impressive feat. For anyone who has visited or stayed there, it’s easy to believe. It is, by far, my favorite city on planet earth and I would move there in a heartbeat if Australia weren’t so freakin in. the. middle. of. no. where.
