100 posts – What a milestone!! It’s weird to think that I’ve been writing, coding and snapping pictures for The Girl From Everywhere for almost two years now. I started this blog as a class project at uni and never imagined how much I would enjoy the creative process of constructing blog posts. My life has changed significantly since October 2013, and I’ve been #TrulyBlessed to see some incredible things, and so, to celebrate I’m highlighting my Top 10 vacations since TGFE started.
I’m pretty lucky in how much international travel I have done at only 24 years old. It makes me proud to flip through my passport and read my collection of stamps like a memory book. What I regret, though, is my lack of travel experience within the US, since it’s my home and I would love to know it. And so, when I had the opportunity to road trip from Texas to California, I was instantly onboard.
Now that I’ve been back a while, I tend to assume people are sick of hearing of my time in Australia, but mostly I find people are curious; it’s not very often that someone my age picks up and moves overseas to work, so people have a lot of questions about it. I figure if the people I know in real life have these questions, so do people online, so I threw together this little post with extensive details about an international intern program, including pros and cons.
In case you didn’t know, Melbourne was just named the “Most Livable City” in the world…for the 5th year in a row. That’s a fairly impressive feat. For anyone who has visited or stayed there, it’s easy to believe. It is, by far, my favorite city on planet earth and I would move there in a heartbeat if Australia weren’t so freakin in. the. middle. of. no. where.
